We started with a simple question: Why does PSLE revision feel so stressful—for kids and parents alike?
What began as a research project quickly uncovered the truth. Kids were under pressure. Parents were overwhelmed. And the tools everyone was using—assessment books, past-year papers, generic apps—just weren’t helping enough.
So we set out to fix it. Not by adding more work, but by making practice smarter. PSLE Ninja was built to learn from your child, adapt to their struggles, and guide them toward mastery with bite-sized, confidence-building practice. No more chasing after wrong answers, no more manually tracking weak topics—and no more frustration. Just real progress, made easier.

It began with a research project into PSLE stress—and what we found was eye-opening. Children weren’t just overwhelmed. Parents were too. Marking papers, explaining answers, and managing multiple kids’ revision was draining families of time and energy.

So we built a prototype called GoBarry, powered by an Adaptive Learning Engine and a small bank of 10,000 Math and Science questions. With a focus group of 100 parent-child pairs, we ran our first trial.

In just 3 months, students improved their grades by over 20%—and over half the group outperformed their mid-year results in the actual PSLE.

Encouraged by early success, we rebuilt the system from the ground up. A new focus group of 300 students joined by mid-year. With just under 90 days to the PSLE, we weren’t expecting dramatic gains—but we were blown away.

The data was clear: smart practice worked. So we expanded our question bank to 60,000, refined our spaced learning engine, and prepared to open up to the public.

We launched the first public version of PSLE Ninja in April. Over 600 P5 and P6 students signed up. sections. Our dream of truly adaptive, efficient revision was finally reaching homes across Singapore.

To meet this momentum, we completed data entry of 180,000 questions across English, Chinese, Math, and Science by year-end.

With a full bank of over 180,000 curated questions spanning English, Chinese, Math, and Science, our system could now deliver truly adaptive practice tailored to each student’s exact needs—at scale.

Most importantly, we continued listening to families and refining the platform to make smart learning not just effective, but engaging.
