It’s that time of the year again — the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) season. As parents, we know how much this milestone means not just for our children, but for the whole family. Whether it’s your first child going through PSLE or your last, the experience can be nerve-wracking and emotional.

15 & 16 August 2023 (Tuesday & Wednesday)
Oral Test
The Oral exams are like conversations your child has every day. Encourage them to stay calm, speak clearly, and remember that the examiners are friendly listeners.
Listening Comprehension
English & Mother Tongue
15 September 2023 (Friday)
Listening Comprehension Paper
Remind your child to listen carefully, stay focused, and not to panic if they miss something — there’s time to think and choose wisely.
Written Examinations

28 September 2023 (Thursday)
Paper 1 (Writing)
Paper 2 (Language Use and Comprehension)
Your child has written countless compositions and practised grammar exercises. Encourage them to express themselves confidently and check their work calmly.
Mathematics
29 September 2023 (Friday)
Paper 1 (Short Answer Questions)
Paper 2 (Structured/Long Answer Questions)
Each question can be solved one step at a time. Remind your child not to be flustered by tricky problems — they’ve practised for this!
Mother Tongue Language
2 October 2023 (Monday)
Paper 1 (Writing)
Paper 2 (Language Use and Comprehension)
Remind your child that they’ve been learning their Mother Tongue from a young age. Encourage them to write clearly and use the vocabulary they’ve built up.
Science
3 October 2023 (Tuesday)
Science Paper
Science is about observation and curiosity. Remind your child to read every question carefully and trust what they’ve learnt.
Higher Mother Tongue Language
4 October 2023 (Wednesday)
Higher Mother Tongue Paper
Taking Higher Mother Tongue is already a wonderful achievement. Encourage your child to do their best, knowing every effort matters.
PSLE Marking Days
16–19 October 2023 (Monday to Thursday)
Marking Exercise (No School for Students)
Both you and your child deserve a break. Enjoy the downtime and recharge before the results release.
